You will be involved with:

Cutting-edge compression related research

And you are expected to show:

Familiarity with deep/machine learning
Familiarity with image/video/model compression/density estimation
[is a plus] Familiarity with Computational Photography / Image Signal Processing (isp) pipeline

You will be involved with:

Cutting-edge image & video coding research

And you are expected to show:

Familiarity with C/C++ & Python
Familiarity with one of the video coding standard (e.g. H.264/5/6, VP8/9, AV1, AVS, etc.)
Familiarity with one of the aspects of image or video coding research (e.g. entropy coding, rate control, quality metric, etc.)
[is a plus] Familiarity with image video processing or computer vision
[is a plus] Familiarity with machine learning or deep learning
